Peleg and the Division of the Earth
Genesis 10:25 speaks of one called Peleg, a name which means division. The text then explains that he was so called for in his days was the earth divided. There is reason to believe that the division under consideration was a division of land into the present continents. Many scientists now believe that the earth once had a single continent, which they call Pangaea, and that modern continents are fragments of this original land mass.
